In 2010 we decided to have our old garage demolished and a new garage built with the additions of a tool shed, laundry and a sleep-out with adjoining bathroom. The driveway also needed to be re-cemented. We contacted several garage construction companies and they submitted proposals but we decided to go with Skyline Buildings HB with Rangi Tawhai as project manager.
We do not regret our decision and are very happy with the final result. The work progressed without any major hiccups and anything we wanted done differently, either because I changed my mind about something on the original plan, or because it was not done the way I wanted, the answer was always the same from Rangi – “No problem” and it was always done to our satisfaction.
The project was planned to be finished by Christmas and we were expecting guests from overseas on the 27th of December. The project was bigger than first estimated and as Christmas crept closer it was obvious that not everything would be finished on time. Rangi put every effort into the sleep-out even putting extra workers on the job and working late into the evening on Christmas Eve to get the sleep-out finished to a point where we could accommodate our guests. We were very impressed.
